Delete your E-mmere account

Use this page to request deletion of your E-mmere account and personal data from our systems. We process requests within 30 days.
How to request deletion
- Send us a message on WhatsApp (+256 794 641 076) or use Contact → Account & privacy.
- State clearly: “Delete my E-mmere account”.
- Include the identifier for your account:
- Customer: the phone number you use in the app
- Rider, kitchen, or office staff: the email on your team account
- We may reply once to confirm your identity (e.g. a recent order code or registered phone).
What we delete
- Customer accounts: saved profile (name, phone, optional email), saved addresses, push notification tokens, and sign-in tokens.
- Team accounts (rider, kitchen, office): login access, profile details, and push tokens. Pending rider or seller applications can be removed on request.
What we may keep
Some information cannot be deleted immediately where we must keep records for legal, tax, fraud prevention, or payout obligations:
- Order history (items, amounts, delivery addresses used for completed orders, payment status, and timestamps) — typically retained up to 7 years for accounting and disputes.
- Payment references from Flutterwave (transaction IDs, not full card numbers) — retained as required for reconciliation.
- Audit logs of staff actions (anonymised or minimised where possible).
After account deletion, your personal identifiers are removed from active systems; retained order rows may show only what is needed for financial records.
Delete data without deleting your account
You may also ask us to delete specific data (for example an old delivery address or marketing contact) while keeping your account. Message us the same way with what you want removed.
In the app
- Customer: open the app → Order food → your account area, or sign out; then submit a deletion request using the steps above.
- Rider / kitchen / office: sign out after requesting deletion; we disable the team login once processed.
